The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members elected at-large to four-year terms by the voters in South Orange County.  Board members reside in the areas they represent.  Terms are staggered with elections being held every two years in connection with the general election. 

The Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing all academic programs and educational services.  Regular meetings are held monthly and are open to the public. 

A student trustee, elected by students of Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College, serves a one-year advisory term of office from May through the following April.  Additional information is available by calling Saddleback College Student Development at (949) 582-4616 or the Associated Students of Irvine Valley College at (949) 559-3260.

At the annual organizational meeting of the Board of Trustees on December 10, 2007, the Board elected the following officers:
