EVE SHIEH

The 2010-11 Student Trustee is Eve Shieh, representing the students of Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College and the Advanced Technology and Education Park (ATEP).

Student Trustee Shieh is currently serving a one-year term through April 2011.  After election by her peers, she was sworn into office on May 24, 2010.
Eve is an international business major at Irvine Valley College and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  She plans to continue her studies at San Diego State University and pursue a master’s degree in business economics at the University of California, Los Angeles.  Her interests are exploring other countries and learning different cultures.  She plans to be an active volunteer at a local senior center and animal shelter. 

Originally from Taiwan, Eve immigrated to the United States with her family when she was two years old and grew up in Irvine.  Having to learn English, it was initially difficult to keep up her grades up.  She a firm believer in the importance of education for all.  You can contact Student Trustee Shieh at eshieh3@gmail.com.
