Trustee John Williams
is currently serving as Vice President. He has been
elected to four consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees
since 1992, and is serving a four-year term through 2008.
Over the years he served as President, Vice President,
and Clerk. Mr. Williams has the distinction of being
a Saddleback College graduate.
Mr. Williams was elected to the position of Orange County Public Administrator-Public Guardian in 2002. He retired from the Orange County Marshal's Department at the rank of Sergeant in 1995 after 22 years of service. He served on the Community College League of California in the Legislation and Finance Commission and the Trustee and Staff Development Commission. He also fulfilled three terms as the District representative to the Orange County Community Colleges Legislative Task Force.
Mr. Williams earned an Associate of Arts degree from Saddleback College in the College's second graduating class of 1971. He received a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Iowa and Master's in Public Administration from Pepperdine University. He served as a volunteer track and field coach at Saddleback College for many years. His contributions to higher education were honored by the Conservative Women's Leadership Association of South Orange County with the Man of Distinction Award.
Mr. Williams has been involved in a number of community organizations. He was an officer of the Association of Deputy Marshals of Orange County and coordinated fundraising efforts for the March of Dimes Walkathon, the Women's Transitional Living Center, and the Blind Children's Learning Center of Orange County.
