CONGRATULATIONS

Saddleback College Class of 2009! 

 

 

There were 1,037 graduates in Class of 2009 who earned associate in arts degrees and associate in science degrees.  Also, 827 students earned certificates of achievement.  The commencement marked the college's 40th graduation ceremony.  The class was composed of 61% women and 39% men.  The youngest graduate was 18 years old, and the oldest was 69. 

 

 

 

 

     

 

 

The commencement address was delivered by Robert V. "Bobby" McDonald, Member, Board of Governors, California Community Colleges and President and Executive Director, Black Chamber of Commerce of Orange County.  The student speakers were Anoushah Rasta and Travis Fuller

 
     
 
     

 

 

Students graduating with honors: 140 were cum laude with grade point averages of 3.5 to 3.74; 84 were magna cum laude with GPAs of 3.75 to 3.99; and 16 were summa cum laude with a GPA of 4.0.

Irvine Valley College Class of 2009! 

 

In the Class of 2009, 538 associate of arts and associate of science degrees were awarded and 638 certificates of achievement.  The commencement marked the college's 24th graduation ceremony.  The class was composed of 60% women and 40% men.  The youngest graduate was 17 years old, and the oldest was 60. 

 
     
 
     
 
     
 
     

 

 

The keynote speaker was Dr. Sharon V. Salinger, Dean, Division of Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Irvine.

Students graduating with honors: 82 were cum laude with grade point averages of 3.5 to 3.74; 77 were magna cum laude with GPAs of 3.75 to 3.99; and 21 were summa cum laude with a GPA of 4.0.
