570 Employees Respond to Survey

In January and February, District Services conducted an online survey.  570 employees responded which is an impressive 21% return rate.  This inaugural survey was an effort to garner feedback on the services provided to the colleges and ATEP and will be used as a baseline to develop future survey instruments and assessments in order to focus on continuous improvement. 

By location, 20% of Saddleback College employees, 21% of Irvine Valley College employees and 57% of ATEP employees participated in the survey.  Respondents were also given opportunities for open ended feedback and suggestions to each department.

Overall, the rating of District Services was positive with 64% of respondents stating they felt the services were satisfactory. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey and provide thoughtful feedback. 

New Report to the Community

Innovations in teaching, learning, funding and efficiencies are the focus of the latest annual report entitled Innovation is Our Responsibility. A salute to veterans is featured as well as Professors Jane Horlings, Larry Perez and Martin McGrogan.  Differing from the past five annual reports, the 2010 publication has fewer pages, 12 versus 20, which saves on printing costs, postage and paper.  It was designed by Michael O'Meara, the District Services graphic designer, with writing contributions from Tracy Daly, Jennie McCue, Diane Oaks and Tere Fluegeman.  The Report is being distributed to over 3,500 business and community leaders and throughout campus divisions, schools and departments.
