TRUSTEE DONALD P. WAGNER, Esq.

Trustee Donald Wagner has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees since 1998.   He is currently the Vice President of the Board, and served as President of the Board for three years, from 2002 through 2004.  He is serving a four-year term through 2010, representing Area 2.

 

Mr. Wagner is an attorney with Enterprise Counsel Group. He is active in the Orange County business and legal communities, including the Orange County Bar Association where he served on several committees and a board of advisors. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Superior Court of Orange County, and frequently publishes articles on legal, political, and cultural topics in the local media.

Mr. Wagner has served on the Board of Directors of two for-profit corporations. He is also a past President of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Orange County, an affiliate of the nation's oldest voluntary health organization. He founded and served as the first president of the Orange County Chapter of the Federalist Society, a national organization of lawyers, judges, and law professors.   Mr. Wagner was a finalist for the 1996 Irvine “Citizen of the Year” award.

Mr. Wagner received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.   He earned a Juris Doctor Degree in 1987 from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in the same year.

Mr. Wagner says he thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to serve on the South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees.  “We have two great colleges that provide the gateway to higher education and lifelong learning for thousands of young people. It is exciting and rewarding to serve them and all of the citizens of South Orange County.”

Mr. Wagner and his wife Megan reside in Irvine with their three children.
