Directory Services

Electronic Directory Services are provided via WEB-based interface to assist users of the district network, electronic mail, and the general public in locating district faculty, staff and students.

LDAP (Lite Directory Access Protocol) provides a means of looking up information about faculty and staff based on specific search criteria.  A directory search can be made from a browser by using the district's Directory Search page.

LDAP can also be incorporated into electronic mail clients to assist in the addressing of messages.   Netscape Communicator, Eudora and Outlook support LDAP directory lookup.  The information presented below shows how to confiure Netscape, but the attributes can be used in any Email client. that supports LDAP.
