Tracy Daly

Tracy Daly is the Director of Public Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations in the Office of the Chancellor.  Since 2004 she has overseen strategic marketing at the District and shares that expertise with Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College and ATEP to enhance their marketing and student recruitment.  She also leads the District’s community and government relations efforts. 

Prior to joining SOCCCD, Tracy was a General Manager with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Assistant Executive Officer at Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink).  Before moving to Orange County, Tracy was Assistant General Manager at SunLine Transit Agency in the Palm Springs area where she was actively involved in the community.  She served as chair of the Planning Commission for the City of Rancho Mirage, President-Elect of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Riverside County, a member of the White House Federal Fleet Conversion Task Force, and the U.S. Department of Energy Regional Clean Cities Coordinator.  Tracy’s early career was focused on higher education and non profit organizations, primarily in grant writing and resource development.  She has a Masters of Education from the University of Vermont in College Student Personnel Services in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University in Technical Journalism.  

Kori Lee Garner

Kori Lee Garner, MA Cantab., is the District Media & Marketing Specialist. Since 2006 as part of the Marketing and Public Affairs team she has helped to create many of the promotional printed materials, print and web advertisements, marketing pieces and media releases that tell the District story to our many audiences. Recognized for both her strategic as well as creative skills, Kori’s broad experience as a former creative director/writer includes brand development, brand advertising, promotional marketing, integrated marketing, direct response, e-marketing, website content development and project management, as well as extensive reputation management and media relations work.

Prior to joining our District, Kori founded and served as principal of Kori Lee & Associates, a cutting-edge “virtual” PR agency. Before that she was assistant director of public relations at a local e- advertising agency followed by several for-profit educational institutions. She has over 20 years experience creating and implementing award-winning marketing communications and public relations strategies and programs for a wide variety of corporate, non-profit and educational organizations. 

Kori is active in many professional organizations, has served on the boards of several local nonprofits and regularly lectures and teaches at local colleges and universities as an adjunct professor. She holds an MA from Cambridge University, England and received her BA from the University of California, Irvine.

Michael O’Meara

Michael O’Meara joined the Marketing Team in 2006. As the Graphic Designer for the District, he creates all of the promotional printed material for the District, as well as some marketing projects in support of our three campuses.  Prior to joining SOCCCD, Michael was a designer and writer with Hobbs Herder Advertising in Newport Beach for several years, where he specialized in creating personal brochures and collateral marketing pieces for real estate professionals from across the country. Before that, he worked as an Art Director for Image Resources in Irvine, J.W. Terry and Associates in Tustin and Martin Lawrence Limited Editions in Van Nuys.

Michael is an experienced artist who has been in advertising since B.C. (Before Computers). Photography has been a hobby of Michael’s for decades. His work is seen throughout the website and in most of SOCCCD’s publications, including his scenes of Orange County. Michael studied journalism, photography and graphic design at California State University, Northridge where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design.
